what is entropy
entropy is an AI powered fully automated proprietary trading firm majorly operating in index derivatives on national stock exchange, india. we build our own proprietary algorithmic trading systems leaving no room for human error and subjective decision-making when it comes to trading decisions. we never try to predict the markets as we strongly believe that a positive edge with proper risk management is the only holy grail in any kind of speculative business.
we specialize in market neutral strategies but soon we aim to get into long term directional investing as well
what we do
1. quantify
we closely observe the randomness of market and look for patterns and ideas. these ideas are then converted into algorithms, leaving no room for discretion at all. once we have a hypothesis in mathematical form, it's time to backtest and validate it
2. test
at this stage we combine our hypothesis with appropriate risk management plan, develop the idea into a complete strategy and backtest its performance. we spent most of our time in testing stage and run lot of simulations to make sure that our ideas are robust enough and immune to any kind of market uncertainty. for this we have set certain benchmark scores for any strategy to strictly pass in order to move to next stage
3. trade
"execution is the key". ideas are just ideas if not executed well. we have developed innovative order execution strategies which enable us to lower the slippage and transaction costs thus increasing the overall profitability and sustainability
systems
we currently run 2 kinds of systems:

high-risk high-reward, suitable for individuals with low capital (Rs 50k to 5 lacs). Avg Return: ~100% per year; Max Drawdown: 30%

low-risk and consistent, suitable for individuals with capital (Rs 5 lacs & above) Avg Return: ~30% per year; Max Drawdown: 5%

graduated from iit bombay (2012-16), deepesh takes care of new initiatives and ideas, transforming them into algos, creating robust and scalable meta-strategies for entropy's portfolio. he has over 5 years of trading experience.
